Sveiki | Hello

I am an applied microeconomist with primary research interests in development economics, political economy, and economic history. I study how historical shocks and institutional design shape long-term economic trajectories, with a particular focus on how these effects are distributed unevenly across space. My current work combines geospatial analysis and causal inference to investigate large-scale institutional transitions, exploring how historical disruptions, such as property shocks, interact with local clientelism to create enduring developmental and political lock-ins.

I recently graduated with a Master of Research in Economics from Sciences Po Paris, where my work was recognized with the Best Master Thesis in Economics award. This followed a B.A. in Economics and Sociology that included an exchange program at MIT.

Currently, I am a Trainee in the Data Center of the Prices and Costs Division at the European Central Bank. Previously, I worked as a Research Assistant in the Bank of Lithuania, and held policy and analytical roles at the Lithuanian Ministry of Environment and Ministry of National Defence.
